My Melt Story
15 years ago, a fellow Nia teacher moved to Portland from NYC, gave a free MELT Foot treatment, and told me Sue Hitzmann was coming — and that I wouldn’t regret it. I had taken so much bodywork and connective tissue training over the years that, honestly, I was skeptical!
But MELT surprised me. Not only did it make an immediate difference in how my body felt, it supported me in addressing some of the issues I thought I’d just have to “live with.” Over time I noticed improvement in my pelvic issues - uterine prolapse, incontinence, and sacroiliac (SI) joint dysfunction were so much better. Through consistent MELT practice, I manage these issues and have found a whole new sense of stability and resilience in my body.
I’ve now been leading MELT for over 14 years and have completed every level of MELT training. I love sharing the basics for decompressing stress and tension, as well as MELT Performance techniques that create lasting changes in joint stability and help reduce the risk of losing strength and function as we age.
Today, I facilitate MELT for both individuals and groups, on Zoom and in person — guiding people to discover how small, simple practices can make a profound difference in how they feel every day.
